Don’t forget to vote for your favourite players of 2010. Remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is Thursday February 2nd (9 days) so get your votes in as soon as possible. Previous League MVPs include last years winner Arian Foster, 2009 MVP Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald in 2008, Randy Moss in 2007, LaDainain Tomlinson in 2006, Shaun Alexander (2005), Adam Vinatieri (2004), Priest Holmes (2002 & 2003) and Marshall Faulk in 2000 & 2001. BUMS Team of December For the purposes of this newsletter December was the final five weeks of the season from December 4th (Trading Day 2). December’s highest scoring BUMS team was the Langley Raptors with 223 points while December saw a BUMS team worth $9.5m score 340 points. That team is HC Sean Payton (Saints & Sofa) $1m 30pts, Kicker David Akers (San Fran. & Misunderstood) $1m 61, QB Drew Brees (Saints & Wellington) $3m 57, RBs LeSean McCoy (Phili & Leamington) $2m 42, Marshawn Lynch (Seattle & Langley) $1m 36, and $0.5m receivers Rob Gronkowski (New England & Langley) 42, Julio Jones (Atlanta & Tring) 36 and Jordy Nelson (Green Bay & Weymouth) 36. Bill Belichick (Patriots & Perivale) also coached for 5 wins but cost $2m and Maurice Jones-Drew (Langley & Jags) scored 36 points but cost $2m. Non-BUMS Team of December December’s best non-BUMS team would have cost $7m and scored you 219 points, again proving the BUMS know their stuff. If you were disappointed with your team’s final month maybe you should have traded for one of these at Trading Day 2. Either Andy Reid (Phili) or Nov Turner (San Diego) at Head Coach (both had 4 wins for $2m), QB Mark Sanchez (Jets) $1m and 24 points, Redskin kicker Graham Gano 51pts $0.5m, RBs DeAngelo Williams (Panthers) & Shonn Greene (Jets) both $1m and they scored 24 points each and $0.5m receivers Dezmon Briscoe (Bucs), Donald Driver (Packers) and Malcolm Floyd (Chargers) who also each scored 24 points. Roddy White had 4 touchdowns as well but he would have cost $3m.
